For decades, Ólafur (the Icelandic president) has made sure to exercise at least 50 minutes a day. "We usually start the day with a power walk with Sámi. But I think he started eating healthier food after we met, he now eats more vegetables and less wine bread," says First Lady Dorrit Moussaieff in an interview with Fréttatímann (News Time) when she is asked about her husband's physical condit...
The aim is to investigate the possibility of Latibær getting inside the Family and Animal Park, possibly in the form of building a small village smaller than Latibær. According to Ingvar Sverrisson, chairman of the board of the Family and Animal Park, no formal discussions have taken place so far, but the park’s representatives plan to discuss these ideas with the author of Latabær in the coming weeks.
A few years ago, Magnús Scheving, the author of Latibær, put forward ideas for a large amusement park to be built on the so-called Landssímalóð by Suðurlandsbraut, but those ideas did not materialize.
Interest, however, now seems to have aroused in the chairman of the board of Höfuðborgarstofa, Degi B. Eggertsson, to explore the possibility of reviving these ideas in some form in the Family and Animal Park.
Ingvar Sverrisson says that he foresees that an indicator that Latibær could be built in the park, with streets and houses in the manner of Latibær and that some activities would be connected to that structure. For example, children could be given the opportunity to solve various puzzles around Laugardalur. However, this is speculation at this stage, as no formal discussions have taken place between the park and Latibær’s representatives.
It can be added that the aim is to start filming the first TV shows about Latibær in this country tomorrow, Tuesday January 13, 2004.
