Visitors to Reykjanesbaer can put themselves in the shoes of Stephanie, Sportacus and Robbie Rotten this autumn. An adventure park is to be opened at Ljósanótt in Reykjanesbaer with props from LazyTown.
“We are setting up an open museum storage in a 4,000 square meter building in Ramman, where cultural tourism will be run. Props from LazyTown will have 1,200 square meters, so they can be arranged in a fun way,” says Valgerður Guðmundsdóttir, Reykjanesbaer’s culture representative, and promises a lot of fun.
“It could be an adventurous experience for the children to go through there and a lot of fun for everyone.” We also see an opportunity in having foreign tourists visit, since LazyTown is known in many places, for example in Great Britain. Tourists could then stop by on the way from the airport.”
A craft market has already been opened at one end of the building, and so will the Museum of Buildings and Reykjanesbaer’s Art Museum. Valgerður says that a Sunday drive to the place is well worth it for the whole family.
