LazyTown continues its expansion and will entertain children in Canada starting on Monday, December 6, 2004. The TV shows will be broadcast on YTV, a television channel that is specifically aimed at children and reaches eight million homes in the country. The episodes will be shown every weekday at 9 and 14.30, similar to Nick jr. in the United States.
Many people have watched the show, and 10 million people watched LazyTown during the premiere week at the end of August. LazyTown subsequently premiered on one of the world’s largest television channels, on Nickelodeon’s Saturday morning show on CBS.
The number of spectators continues to grow. “A new LazyTown episode premiered last week and set a new record for a show currently on air, reaching a total of 9.1 in the ratings, which is about 30% higher than usual” says the announcement.
