Magnús Scheving cannot be present when the BAFTA awards are presented on Sunday at the Hilton Hotel in London, as he is on a business trip to South America. As Fréttablaðið reported, LazyTown is nominated as the best international children’s content. Magnús was also invited to present an award. The popular TV show will not be without representatives, however, and those who lead the group include the composer Máni Svavarsson and Ragnheiður Melsteð (CFO and Magnús’s wife)
“We didn’t find out about the nomination until a few weeks ago, and by then we had already planned this trip, which is very important in the expansion,” says María Rut Reynisdóttir, Magnús’s assistant, but he is now in Chile and from there he is heading to Brazil and Argentina, where the LazyTown show has been a hit. She adds that it was considered that Magnús would fly from Chile to London, but upon closer inspection it turned out to be too much of a journey.
