The book Áfram Latibær! has been published by Magnús Scheving – Athlete of the Year and European Athletics Champion. Magnús has given hundreds of lectures to people of all ages and performed on countless events. He is constantly receiving questions about various topics related to the lectures. That’s why he decided to answer them in a book and wrote a fun story that will be useful for both reading and fun!
The story is about some people in a town who have been named because of their unique laziness. Some have also other bad habits. The mayor receives a letter about the sports festival that is to be held all over the country. He’s having a hard time getting kids to join him. Then the sports elf comes to the rescue. He teaches the difference between play and violence, what is healthy food, how to relax and play in various outdoor games.
Magnús therefore combines knowledge with a funny and lively story. Halldór Baldursson has drawn humorous pictures that fit very well with the plot. In addition, the book includes a CD with Magnús’ instructions on light gymnastic exercises with music that Máni Svavarsson has composed and chosen.
This is Magnús’ first book, but no one who has watched his lectures and scenes at the entertainment will be surprised that he has the art of storytelling in his power. He has a unique way of keeping the attention of people of all ages, especially kids.
Áfram Latibær! is 84 pages in large format. Grímur Bjarnason took pictures for the cover, and Halldór Baldursson and Advertising agency Power and Glory took care of the appearance. K-prent took care of the layout, printing house Oddi did the printing and bookbinding. The publisher is Æskan.
